RULES

By: Mr. Shaw and Jack

There are numerous rules in Mrs. Truby's room. Some of these include: don't blurt out, don't lose your paper, and don't procrastinate. The most important rule is probably "don't procrastinate." Procrastination means to put something like a project or worksheet off until the very last minute. Get in the habit of not procrastinating and you should have an easier time in 5th grade, middle school, high school, and even college!

Taking care of the computers is an important rule. If you carry them wrong, you could break them. You carry the computers as followed: First you close the lid. Next you put both arms under the computer. Last you carry it to your destination. After you are done, make sure you return the computer to the red table and plug them back in.

Poison words are certain words that hurt other people emotionally or are negative. At the beginning of the year, Mrs Truby will call everyone together to put words on the list that people don't want to be called. What you do is raise your hand, and when Mrs. T. calls on you, you tell her the word, and she puts it on the list. You don't put cuss words on the poison word list. You may add to the list all year long. If you say a poison word, then Mrs T. will take your whole payday for the week. Never say poison words!!!

If you ever forget the rules, just look above the SmartBoard and there are the rules!

If you lose your paper, you can either buy an extra one with coupons (Trubyville's money), choose a zero (which you don't want to do), or buy a homework pass (giving you an automatic A+).

If you wanted to name the fish, then don't, because if you do, they'll die. It happened this year. Mrs Truby won a fish at the carnival. It was a blue and black beta, somebody named the fish. Therefore, it died the day after.

CONSEQUENCES

Most of the time, if you disobey a rule, you will owe Mrs. Truby coupons. Sometimes, if the whole class is talking, Mrs Truby will take away coupons from the class' weekly pay. Once in a while, she gives extra homework to the people who are disobeying the rules.

If your desk or feet area is messy, Mrs. T. will make you pay, so keep it clean!!! As I always say, "A Clean Desk, is a Happy Desk!"

If you don't get homework done, Mrs. T. takes 5% off for every day that it's late. So don't forget.....

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
